Progressively Learning the Download Process at a Faster and Faster Rate...

8:00

ZAP Website > Landing Page for the DIY1 Unbound Google Script Project:

  1. Same as above, but it will not give you the option to rename the file or specify a saving location. It will save it to the root of your Google Drive "Copy of " and the name of the existing file.

In the process, get an introduction to the Technology Club website and learn about an unusual situation that arises when you have multiple users accounts active and try to view a shared google file. With this simple process, which takes less than 60 seconds once you know how to do it, say goodbye to the Intuit Clan once and for all!

Numbered Circles 1-7 >> Ends with Authorizing the internal / Bound Google Script Project only

6:53

For Numbered Circle 7, In order to authorize the internal / Bound Google Script project only, the reference to the original Unbound Google Script project that persisted from prior to your download must be removed and a script must be fired that is self contained in the internal / Bound Google Script Project.

This is NOT something you will typically do in isolation like this for this particular template. This is the only video where action is actually taken for Numbered Circle 7. In all others it's skipped because the internal / Bound Script Project gets authorized by default when the External / Unbound one is Authorized in Numbered Circle 10.

This is worth watching, as we re-download the files from scratch with little to no commentary so you can see how much faster that process can get.

Numbered Circles 1-9 >> End with a completed connection between the Unbound Google Script Project and the Google Sheet File Template.

5:40

For Numbered Circle 8 you will rename the Unbound Google Script project.

For Numbered Circle 9, in the Unbound Google Script Project you are going to set a file version and copy the script ID for making the connection with your template

  3. On that screen, paste the script ID in at the bottom (Add a Library) and click "Add"

  4. A new record shows up at the top.

  5. Version - Select 1

  6. Identifier - remove trailing initials (leave diy1 only)

  7. Development Mode - turn to ON

  8. Click Save at the bottom

Numbered Circles 1-11 >> Ends with full Authorization of the Unbound Google Script project (and by default, the Bound Google Script Project is Authorized too...) and provides user with Fully Functional Copy

5:29

  1. In the File Template, on worksheet Nav1, click "Refresh" button, It should work

  2. In the File Template, click on "Refresh" for the window and the DIY1 menu should appear on the menu bar. (omitted from the video)

Numbered Circle 11 is a fully functional copy and that state is achieved by the end of this video.

Numbered Circles 1-19 >> This is the entire process at high speed in under 10 minutes working time...

10:45

This builds on all the prior videos. For many people this will become their single standalone video for long term reference for this full process and the video prior will be their video for the first half only.

In the first five minutes we download the files , connect them and authorize them.

In the next 5 minutes we make various copies to complete the download and file backup process for this unique solution in a healthy manner.
